President Niinistö visited Estonia
President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö made an official visit to Estonia on Wednesday 25 April. President Niinistö had bilateral discussions with the President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, at the Presidential Palace in Kadriorg. He also met Ene Ergma, Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.

President Niinistö on state visit to Sweden
President of the Republic, Sauli Niinistö, and his spouse, Jenni Haukio, made their first state visit to Sweden on 17–18 April 2012, at the invitation of King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden. The visit began on Tuesday, 17 April with an official reception ceremony at midday, as the presidential couple arrived at the Royal Palace by horse-drawn carriage together with the King and Queen.
